MONOTYPES

A monotype is a printmaking technique used for a single print. The technique allows for a range of expressive possibilities as many different media and painting techniques can be combined since the process does not need to be repeated.

All works are handmade. They are painted and drawn using different colors and pen types on various plates and papers. The painted plates and papers are layered and then printed onto Hahnemuhle 300-gram paper using an etching press. Often, further painting and drawing are done on the print.

Finally, the work is scanned where the size is adjusted. The scan is printed again on Hahnemuhle 300 gram paper on a pigment printer. Then the final adjustments are made and the artwork is signed.

Each work exist only in a single signed copy.

All works are sold with frame.
